Here or There

Thanks for your suggestions about possible places to take my holiday. There were quite a few suggestions. I have narrowed them down to San Francisco, Montreal or London! Can anyone suggest really cheap internal flight companys in USA? I have heard of Westjet.

My holiday may be a few months away but i want to get prepared!

Anyone ever been to Wisconsin? Is it worth a visit?

The weather is grey outside today. Yesterday was the same and it's expected to be the same for the next few days. Im going to go out to a cafe today for lunch. I have found one in the suburbs that sells the best meat pies in the city. I will also grab a coffee. I will also have a great view of the beach where all the surfie boys hang out. That should DEFINITELY brighten up my day.

I visited Wisconsin in the mid-1970's on a vacation. I enjoyed it, but not knowing your tastes that well, I'm not sure I would or would not recommend it. There is probably a tourism site for the state on line from which you could order some brochures and things to get a better idea. Wisconsin would certainly be different than SanFran, London, or Montreal.

I've been to SanFran, but only briefly. I think it could be a really cool place to visit, especially for a gay guy. I've also been to Montreal and it is a very neat place too. Not been to London.

Enjoy the surfie boys!

when are you planning your trip for? Maybe our paths could cross somewhere?

There are some good airlines in the US, but my favorite has to be Southwest (www.southwest.com). It's a cheap, no-frills airline, but service has been excellent (IMHO).

Wisconsin can be gorgeous in the summer. A lot of people from Chicago (my sister and her family included) like to visit Wisconsin Dells (http://www.dells.com/).

southwest is really the only domestic discount airline in the US. but united, american, delta, etc all have weekend deals every week. a good site to check is www.farecast.com, which makes predictions about whether fares will go up or down.

Wisconsin?
Why would anyone go to Wisconsin?

I don't think I could even name you a city in Wisconsin.

Never thought about it, really.

Wisconsin? Ugghh...went there too much when I lived in Chicago. Don't go there!
I'd opt for flying to Boston, renting a car and driving to Montreal (about an 8 hour drive if you do it all at once) stopping off in Maine, Vermont or New Hampshire to go exploring. The White Mountains of New Hampshire are gorgeous, as is the coast of Maine and the Lake Champlaine area of Vermont.

By the way, Jet Blue has some great rates for flying around the country and you can do it with one way flights too.
