The Storm
I hope that everyone has survived St Patricks Day in one piece! I know i did.
I done a few hours at work this morning and walked home in the blazing sushine. I then just got in the door before a storm hit the city with big flashy lightning and big rumbles of thunder and hail stones. It all lasted i suppose about 40 minutes but it has been cold for the rest of the day. The thunder is pretty rare for my city but it was entertaining.
Im just about to go out to Starbucks for a latte (Decaff) at this time of night.

Do you enjoy the "lightening show" of a storm when you get them. As a child I was petrified of thunderstorms (very frequent here in the summer), but as an adult, assuming I am someplace in safety, I love to watch the spectacular show that nature puts on for us.
Is that drastic change in weather normal for you guys in NZ or is it part of that inevitable thing called global warming? :) We are feeling its effect here in Oslo, with the late and short-lived winter and spring coming a tad weeks early.
Oh, Starbucks. I miss that mermaid and her slew of coffee and frappuccino. :)
Thanks for visiting and adding a link. See you around!
Yes, I had a nice and quiet St. Patrick's Day. Oh....I often like thunderstorms as long as high winds don't accompany it.
MMMmmmm....Starbucks sounds lovely right about now. You've now made me want one too. :P
you should visit Iowa in the summer. The storms are spectacular.
Unfortunately my hometown in Iowa has been hit by 4 tornadoes in the 37 years I've been alive. Not so great a location, huh?
The worst tornado happened when I was 5. it took half the town.
I got through it just fine! We went to a steakhouse for dinner and I got chicken. Go figure. Glad you survived the storm! We had some haily, icy stuff this weekend but it seems to be over now.
St. Patty's day is a non-event for me: I don't drink. Hehe.
I love thunder and lightning and rainstorms like that.
I hope you enjoyed your latte!
*hugs*
I love to watch a good storm every now and then.
We saw you on the LOCAL news last night. Was your big ass mud flow. Damn... The valley area coming off our big Mt. Rainier is historically prone to lehars and will happen again and wipe people out. I am on high ground.
I went to a drunken rumble with fights on a big screen tv. I am not the least into fighting (or getting drunk) but did have two drinks which gave me quite a buzz.
